At the poles
Most of the Earth’s ice is found near the poles. That is either very far north or very far south. This is because it gets colder as you move away from Equator. The area farthest to the north is called the Arctic and the area farthest to the south is called the Antarctica.

Svalbard is a good example of a place with many glaciers and ice caps. This is a map of Svalbard a group of islands to the far north.
